A New year of New Blessings!

It is a new year! I have never been so happy to say that before. And yet, while 2020 was undoubtedly an unusual year filled with challenges, it was also a year filled with incredible blessing. While I could recount a year’s worth of blessings for you, I will instead recount the blessings of last month.

Blessed by Your Generosity!

Our November newsletter shared the need that was before us for operating expenses for 2021 as well as additional extra expenses for upgrading our website. Steve set out in December to see what doors God wanted to open to see us funded for 2021. We knew that God would provide, yet still we are blown away by what we have been watching God do over the last several weeks. We are so very humbled by every gift that arrived, many times by people we don’t even know!

We had a pretty big goal in front of us and have seen more than 50% of it already covered by one time gifts and new donors. We also have plans under way for a really great family centered fundraiser that is coming your way this spring. We want to extend a huge thank you for your giving to this ministry and to your commitment to seeing us continue moving forward. We are so excited to look at the year to come and seeing Legacy continue to develop and grow.

Encouraged by Philippians 4

I am reading Philippians 4 this morning and I am identifying so clearly with Paul’s gratitude to the Philippian church for their faithful giving to him. He acknowledges the sweetness of their gift that has met his needs and then speaks blessing over them. So I echo Paul’s words this morning…

We have received everything in full. We are amply supplied having received what you sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God. And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

(Phil 4:18-19)

Thank you for being a blessing to us. And may God’s blessing of provision go before you into 2021.
